Successful Leadership Quotes
Expect to be inspired!
We are all leaders of one life. Why not take a few moments to contemplate the concept, ‘successful leadership’? Think about individuals who you feel are modelling exemplary leadership behaviour. What do you see them doing or not doing? What do you hear them saying or not saying? Do they operate from their head and heart? Do they show signs that they trust their sixth sense, their inner knowing? Are they teachers, mentors, coaches, achievers? What makes them stand out as being a successful leader? Choose one leader who you respect and imagine what it would be like to walk one day in their shoes.
Successful leadership intrigues me. Successful leaders offer inspiration. Throughout life, I have observed, read and studied leaders and successful leadership. Studying the topic of leadership is a passion of mine. At a very early age, I developed a sense of inner knowing; it was my job to take care of me. In order to do the best I could with what I had, I was open to learn lessons from leaders who I looked up to whether they were my Girl Guide leaders, teachers, family members or friends.
Growing up, I enjoyed keeping an eye and an ear open for inspirational stories about exemplary leaders. I read books about leaders, watched news stories and documentaries, researched articles and searched the internet. One of my favourite pass-times was chatting with my mentor, a well read man, my father (Theologian, Teacher of History, Geography and World Religions) a very wise leader. The topics we often discussed would be focused on leaders and successful leadership, past and present.
Many lessons I learned about successful leadership came through the words of many a wise sage. The purpose of today’s post is to share a little sageocracy; hoping to inspire you to reflect, stretch and grow – to become a successful leader of one unique life, your life.
